What's in a Vintage?

I was heading home one day when Steve, a wine guy at the Skokie Binny's, handed me a bottle of 2008 Steeple Jack Shiraz. He said it was the best six dollars I could spend on wine. The recommendation came with a warning, though: he told me not to expect the simple cherry pie filling standard in Australian shiraz at that price. I bought one (for six bucks, why not?)....

Chicago Tribune Beer of the Month: Meantime London Porter

New Belgium Releases an IPA

New Belgium Brewing has answered questions from their “Rangers” (New Belgium staff in the field) and from fans as to why their portfolio didn’t include a hoppy beer.  Ranger IPA, by far the hoppiest offering ever from the New Belgium Brewery, hit Binny’s earlier this week.  Unlike the majority of New Belgium’s beers, Ranger is not a Belgian styled beer.  Rather, it fits the profile of an American IPA...

Sierra Nevada Releases New Seasonal: Glissade
