Big Sky Doing Big Things

Big Sky Brewing Company out of Missoula, Montana is making a name for itself.  Several weeks ago their delicious imperial stout Ivan the Terrible hit the market, in addition to Smoove Cherry Ale.  Ivan was extremely limited and is all but gone, while Smoove Cherry is still available at many locations.  This week, two additional Big Sky beers are making a splash in Chicago...

Buried Hatchet: The Best Stout in Cans?

Glen Ellyn beer manager Anthony Gerdt recently proclaimed that Southern Star Brewery’s Buried Hatched Stout is the best imperial stout he has ever had out of a can.  He claimed that it is better than Ten Fidy (not available in Illinois, but very popular nonetheless), and although he didn’t outright say it, his comment would indicate that he thinks Buried Hatchet is better than Lion Stout in cans...
