Last night, Binny’s hosted World of Whiskies 2014, the best whiskey event of the year, and it was a bigger success than ever. You know the story: we get a bunch of the most innovative and exciting spirits producers (no, it’s not just whiskey) together under one roof to show their latest and greatest.
One very special feature of last night’s event was the release of Four Kings Bourbon. You’ve heard of it, right? It’s a collaborative bottling from Few, MRDC, Journeyman and Corsair. This limited edition whiskey is only available at a handful of Chicago hotspots including Fountainhead and Delilah’s, and only available for purchase at a Binny’s location near you. This stuff won’t last, so head in and grab your bottle soon.
The other real star of the night – if we can be so bold – is the newly expanded Binny’s Lincoln Park. Guests were blown away by our newly expanded location, including the Champagne Depot and Lincoln Park Tasting Room. We knew we had something great, but there’s just something special about witnessing honest reactions to the location. Binny’s Lincoln Park – Seeing is Believing.
Pictures tell a better story than words, so click through for more pics of the event, and check out even more pics on this gallery on the Binny’s Facebook Page.
Last night was our Annual World of Whiskies event, held at the Lincoln Park Binny’s Beverage Depot. The event sold out a week in advance, and it looked like everybody made it.
What a tasting! There were just shy of sixty tables, representing more distilleries, bottlers and producers than we could count. Food samples were provided by neighborhood favorite Franks ‘N’ Dawgs, delicious cake from Tipsycake (see that Jameson bottle in the pictures below? That’s a cake from Tipsycake), plus cheeses and more.
The pictures below don’t do the event justice. They just can’t. It isn’t the sort of thing you can capture with a lens. So next year, when you hear rumors that Binny’s World of Whiskies is happening again, be sure to RSVP right away.
As always, a huge thanks to all the producers, importers and distributors who pour themselves into these great spirits. And a huger thanks to everybody who made it to Binny’s on a Thursday night to taste some of the best whiskies on the planet.

On April 14th, We held our annual World of Whiskies event at our Lincoln Park store. This could have been the best whisky event ever. Or, at least a unique opportunity to mingle with the people who make the spirits you love. This year, the event features over 20 sneak previews, items that have not yet hit the market yet. Pretty cool, huh?
Thanks to everybody for coming, and thanks to the producers who came out to share their creations with everybody.
