In the past three months we’ve shared our Lincoln Park Expansion, Glencoe Expansion, and now we’re pleased to announce the opening of a brand new location in…drum roll, please… Evergreen Park!
The new location is estimated to be 24,000 square feet and will include a 28 door beer cooler, a temperature controlled wine cellar for fine and rare wines, a walk-in humidor and the widest and best selection of 8,500+ wine, spirits and beer products. Director of Operations for Binny’s, Rick Parenti shared, “The store, like all Binny’s locations, will feature the best, most knowledgeable staff, ready to provide our customers with the highest level of service!”
Binny’s will replace Bleeker’s Bowling Lanes, a long standing establishment since the 1950′s.
“We’re revitalizing a beloved neighborhood landmark and introducing Binny’s to a prominent community,” says Michael Binstein, Binny’s owner and CEO. The new location will bring the company’s retail locations to a grand total of 30. That’s right Evergreen Park, get ready to do some major holiday shopping with us!
We’re curious, where would you want to see a Binny’s pop up next?
We’re doing it again! We just announced that our Lincoln Park store is expanding. The construction crew is going to be busy, because we’re expanding our Glencoe location is as well.
If you’ve shopped our Binny’s in Glencoe before, you know that it’s on the smaller side. Relative to Binny’s, we mean. With this expansion, Glencoe will grow from about 2400 square feet to a whopping 8400 square feet.
Yes, Glencoe. More beer, more wine, more spirits.
Construction begins in the fall and should finish early next year. Needless to say, we’re excited!
You heard it right via Shanken News Daily, we’re expanding and boy is it going to be big!
Starting this July, Binny’s Beverage Depot in Lincoln Park (1720 N. Marcey St.) will start its expansion from a measly 33,000 square feet to 50,000 square feet, making it one of the largest beverage superstores in the world. Needless to say, we’re pretty excited about it!
In addition, the Lincoln Park location will also incorporate the notable Lincoln Park Pumping Station including a wine and craft beer bar.
At Binny’s we’re always looking for ways to bring more product to you and to give you a different kind of experience. But of course, it wouldn’t be possible without your committed business, so thank you!
We believe the expansion will be completed by October of this year. *Crosses fingers* But don’t worry, we’ll still be open for you during the construction.
Keep your eyes out for a grand re-opening this fall!
Have you shopped Binny’s Elmwood Park lately? Now is a great time to give the store another visit. We’re just putting the finishing touches on a store-wide remodel, and it’s looking great.
First, we updated the shelving. This allowed us to expand every category in the store, with craft beer and wine coming out on top as big winners in the move. The wine is laying down in bins and the previously tall shelves have been lowered, opening up the general space. Add in a fresh coat of paint and some pretty pictures, and it’s almost like new.
Next, we added a full walk-in humidor, bringing our chainwide total up to 25. With 800 different cigars in the humidor, Binny’s offers the best cigar selection in the area, hands down. A humidor isn’t a humidor without a cigar expert, so we’re excited to have cigar consultant Marc LeBlanc on the Elmwood Park team. Joining Marc are several new more staff members manning departments all across the store.
So swing by! Check out all the improvements we’ve made. Hope to see you at the Elmwood Park Binny’s!

The burning question on everybody’s mind is this, “When will you open?” We’re excited to have a special guest, hockey legend Denis Savard on Friday, October 26th. The upcoming Binny’s in Bloomington now looks a little more like a Binny’s. Construction crews have been hard at work erecting a facade which, seen from Veterans Parkway, gives the building the familiar feel of Binny’s Beverage Depot. We can’t wait to get a logo up on that wall!

You already know that Binny’s Beverage Depot is coming to Bloomington, Illinois. Here’s a bunch of cool new construction pics. As you can see, we’re busy smashing, cutting, framing, building a new Binny’s from a space made of three previous establishments. You can’t make out much in these images other than a better feel for the overall space. They’re just neat pictures.
Again: 1409 N. Veterans Parkway in Bloomington, Illinois.
Opening in early fall.
As we plan this store, we know that we need the best, friendliest and most knowledgeable staff to live up to the Binny’s experience. We have posted wine consultant job openings on WineJobsUSA.com. This listing is for wine consultants, but we need a full team to run this great new location: customer service managers, spirits and beer specialists, and pretty much anybody with enthusiasm and a smile. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested.
When we opened in Champaign, we received hundreds of applications and had to sort through them all to find the great staff we have today. We’re expecting another huge reaction with the new store in Bloomington.
By the way, we also posted wine consultant positions for the Binny’s in Algonquin and across the city of Chicago.
Binny’s Beverage Depot would like to recognize the good people of Bloomington, Indiana, Gateway to Scenic Southern Indiana and home of the fightin’ Hoosiers. We nod to Bloomington, Minnesota, where you can visit the world’s largest enclosed shopping center. We should also acknowledge the existance of Bloomingtons in California, Idaho, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin, though Wikipedia did not contain entertaining trivia on these communities. Lovely as they must be, none of these Bloomingtons will soon be home to a Binny’s Beverage Depot. At least not for now…
The one Bloomington that holds a special place in our hearts is right here in the Land of Lincoln.
Binny’s Beverage Depot is excited to begin construction on our 29th store, opening early this fall in the town of Bloomington, Illinois. After the stunning success of our Champaign location, we know that central Illinois is ready for more.
This isn’t going to be some ordinary beverage shop. We’re talking about 20,000 square feet of wine, spirits, beer and all your other beverage needs. Walk-in cigar humidor? Yes. Temperature controlled wine cellar? You got it. Big beer cooler? How does 28 doors’ worth of frosty cold brews sound? You’ll find us at 1409 N. Veterans Parkway in Bloomington, Illinois. Coming in early fall.
And though we’re sure that all 0.4 square miles of New Bloomington, Ohio are absolutely gorgeous this time of year, they aren’t going to get a Binny’s Beverage Depot. For now…
Now check out these sweet demolition and construction pics. More soon….
