Here’s your chance to meet Windell Middlebrooks. You know, the famous High Life delivery guy with a tendency to get all huffy when he sees an eleven dollar burger so then he takes all their High Life away? Yeah. He’s coming to Binny’s.
Meet Windell Middlebrooks
Binny’s in Arlington Heights
Monday, September 10th, 6-8pm
Admission is free for this event. Grab a picture and an autograph and shake the hand of the most famous beer delivery guy around.
It has been exciting to watch the growth of Jarrett Payton’s All-American Wheat Ale over the last few months. We were first able to offer the beer, brewed by Chicago’s Argus Brewery, at only a handful of Binny’s stores way back in March. Since then, supply has increased, and this delicious wheat ale with plenty of citrus is available at over half of the Binny’s locations, and is still spreading. Now Jarret Payton wants you to get a taste of his popular ale, so he’s personally coming to the Binny’s in Arlington Heights to shake hands and pour beer.
All-American Wheat Ale
Tasting and Meet & Greet
Saturday, July 21, 1-3pm
Jarrett Payton is an all-around great guy and an asset to Chicago. He’s the son of the late Walter Payton, Bears running back and NFL Hall of Famer. You may have heard Jarret’s internet sports radio show, or on ESPN1000 on the Bears Post Game show. Maybe you saw him playing in the NFL or indoor football with Chicago Slaughter. Or maybe you caught one of his motivational speaking engagements or heard of his philanthropy work. Or talked to him on twitter (@paytonsun) or on a million other social media networks. He does a bunch of other stuff, too. He even records music. Just trust us, it’s great that he had time to create this delicious beer, and even better that he’s coming to Binny’s to share it! Don’t miss this chance.
UPDATE: The Saturday morning rocket appearance has been moved to the Downers Grove Binny’s Beverage Depot.
Ardbeg has a 30 foot rocket. They’re bringing it to Binny’s.
Sure, Binny’s has hosted events featuring horses, motorcycles, cars, more motorcycles, and a truck, but we’re pretty sure this is the first time we’ll see an extra-terrestrial form of transportation. Pretty sweet, yeah?
In late 2011, a rocket blasted off the face of the Earth with some precious cargo: a research experiment by Ardbeg. No, they didn’t launch whisky into space. What they did launch was an experiment involving aromatic and flavor-active compounds called terpenes, to test their interaction at the molecular level with charred oak in the low gravity environment of space. It gets a bit sciencey. Will this radically change the way we age spirits?
Anyway, they’re touring the country with a full-size replica of the rocket. Binny’s is honored to be the launching pad for the 28 week tour. Along with the rocket, Ardbeg will be taking names for their committee and sampling out some of their recent single malt offerings. Don’t miss it!
Here’s another big upcoming event. Actually two events: two Chicago Football legends will make appearances at two Binny’s Beverage Depot locations on Saturday, January 28th.
Keith Van Horne
Saturday, January 28th, 2-4pm
Presented by Jameson Irish Whiskey.
This is your chance to meet two Chicago football heroes! Wilson and Van Horne will do a meet & greet and offer complimentary take-home photos. And yes, there will be samples of Jameson.
Today we opened the doors to the newest Binny’s Beverage Depot location in Arlington Heights. Stop by! You’ll find us at 69 Rand Road, right behind the Smashburger.
The store looks just great. You can tell this is a grand opening. It has a slightly smaller footprint than some of our other recent stores, but it’s totally jammed full of surprises. The humidor is packed with fanatastic cigars; the beer cooler and aisles are simply overwhelming (plus there’s this new beer feature that we’re first testing in this store – consider this a teaser!); the wine selection spans the universe and there’s some pretty special stuff in the fine wine room; and you’ll find all your favorite spirits and some rarities you might not expect.
A big thank you goes out to everybody who lent a hand in getting the new store up and running, and a big thank you goes to all you amazing customers who support Binny’s and allow us to bring all your favorite beverages to you. See you in Arlington Heights!
