Beer Social – South Loop Binny’s – March 8th

Chicago beer geeks listen up! Save the date of March 8th because you are not going to want to miss this event. This is your chance to get together and hang out with your fellow beer hobbyists and drink some absolutely amazing beer.

Beer Social
Thursday, March 8th
(exact time TBA)
Binny’s South Loop Tasting Room

This is going to be a HUGE beer event. We’re pulling some strings to make the night extra special. Here’s the concept: Nine different breweries – some of our favorites – each getting a tap or two to show off their best at the Binny’s South Loop Tasting Room. That’s sixteen taps (actually fifteen kegs plus one firkin). Who are we inviting?

See the breweries after the jump…

Three Floyds
Bell’s
Half Acre
Founders
Dogfish Head
Victory
Stone

plus two more (we’re still waiting for confirmation)

Each brewery will bring some of their best brews. Just a few examples that we can brag up at this point: Stone 15th Anniversary Escondidian Imperial Black IPA. Dogfish Head 2010 Olde School Barleywine. Three Floyds Krunk Monk. Founders Curmudgeon’s Better Half. More surprises in the works.

We’re still ironing out all of the details, but here is what else we can say right now: There will be a tasting fee, but it will cover the price of your first beer and maybe some swag if we can work it out. This event will run longer than our usual events, late into the night, long after we would usually lock up and go home. If this Beer Social is a big success, we’ll have more leverage to do it again and again and make it a regular thing. Which will be completely awesome.

  1. Any more details? It’s a bit of a journey so if numbers are limited I would hate to arrive and be turned away…Anything more on price point?
