There are several breweries that don’t distribute in Illinois that we get asked for daily in our stores, such as Yuengling, New Glarus, Alaskan Brewing Company, and Kona Brewing Co. Binny’s is proud to announce that come Late January or early February, we are going to be able to provide you with the beers of Kona Brewing Co.
Longboard Lager, Kona’s flagship brew and most oft requested, will join Big Wave Golden Ale, Fire Rock Pale Ale, and a rotating seasonal on our shelves. Depending on the time of the year, the seasonal may either be Koko Brown Nut Brown Ale, Wailua Wheat, or Pipeline Porter.
If you can’t wait until after the new year to imbibe in Kona’s brews, look for the new variety packs on our shelves that feature beers from Widmer, Redhook, and Kona.

FIRE ROCK!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Thank you for bringing this out to the mainland! I’ve missed it ever since I moved back here a year ago!
Like Kona and thank you , but the best is Maui Brewing Company there beers are fantastic and actually brewed in Maui.Kona is brewed on the east coast not in Hawaii
Kona is brewed on the Big Island, the southern most island of the Hawaiian Island chain. Now these beers might not be brewed in Hawaii because they have been bought by AB awhile ago, but never the less these beers were born in Hawaii.
And Maui Brewing Co. maybe brewed on Maui, but the owner comes from California. I wouldn’t call that local.
Longboard. Yeah Maui.
love it
Very excited about the new breweries coming to Illinois and especially Binny’s. Deschutes is one of my favorites that I always pick up when out west. Now, if you could only get Odell’s in Chicago, the world would be a better place. Keep up the great work distributers!
To add another to the wish-list, when I was in Puerto Rico, I was surprised at how good tasting Medallia Light was. Any chance of getting that one here (or is it here and I’ve missed it)? Of course, it could just be that the lack of great beers available or the wonderful weather and scenery contributed to how good the beer tasted.

Scott, as of now, Medalla Light is not distributed in Illinois. In fact it looks like the only U.S. state it is available in is Florida. However, we read that the brewery has ambitions of distributing across the entire U.S., so perhaps we will see Medalla Light at Binny’s sometime in the near future.
No reason now to go to Hawaii! One of the best beers ever.
Yuengling bring it on

This is wonderful news. I can’t wait to tip back a longboard and remember those warm tradewinds blowing by while it’s ten degrees and snowing outside.
