It has been confirmed! Within the next couple weeks, the highly acclaimed Firestone Walker Brewery will debut at Binny’s. Accolades for Firestone Walker include being the three-time champion at the World Beer Cup (no other brewery has taken this title more than once), and the two time winner of the Mid-size Brewer of the Year at the Great American Beer Festival. Part of the reason for Firestone Walker has had so much success is that are one of two breweries in the world they still employ primary fermentation in wood barrels (Marston’s). Below is a list of what will be available from Firestone Walker at Binny’s in the coming weeks.
Red Nectar – Boasting a ruby hue and an exquisite floral aroma, Red Nectar is a robust yet elegant brew with distinctive accents of toasted malt, caramel, spice and residual sweetness. The beer that started it allRed Nectar was considered a strange bird when it was first released in 1987. After all, where did a robust, handcrafted all-natural amber ale fit into the massive flock of American industrial lagers? Answer: it didnt. Nectar IPA – Our IPA is created from a base of Pale and Crystal malts and is aggressively hopped throughout the brewing process with a final hop addition in the conditioning vessel. A beautiful flowery hop aroma will greet you as you dive into this hop lovers dream. A middle caramel malt presence balances high hop bitterness with hop flavor end to end learn to love hops!
Hemp Ale – Born in Humboldt County, this classic, hand-crafted brown ale is a legend in the craft beer world. Premium malts, choice hops and the addition of sterilized hemp seeds create complex and rich earthy flavors. Hemp Ale is the original green beer.
Binny’s will also be featuring Firestone Walker’s reserve line in the form of Double Jack Double IPA, Walkers Reserve Porter, and 14 Anniversary Ale. 14 Anniversary ale is a 12.5% ABV strong ale will never be brewed again, so keep an eye out if you are looking for something truly special.
