Goose Island will unveil their Rare Bourbon County Stout at all retail locations on November 30th, with the exception of one lucky store. That fortunate store is Binnys in Lincoln Park, which will have bottles of Rare Bourbon County available for purchase on Black Friday, November 26th. There will not be an unlimited supply, so you might want to think about getting to the store early; the doors open at 9am.
Rare Bourbon County will never be brewed again. It was aged for two years in Pappy Van Winkle barrels, which are used to age the hundred dollars and above Pappy Van Winkle Bourbon. These are the finest barrels Goose Island has ever used to age a beer in.
In addition to the Rare Bourbon County, Binnys in Lincoln Park will have some special beers from Goose Island not usually on retail shelves on hand for purchase. Will we see you at Binnys in Lincoln Park on Black Friday?
Any timing on the Vanilla BCS? October came and went and that is when it was supposed to be released.Is Brooklyn Brewery’s Black Ops something that Binnys can get in?
We aren’t 100% sure when the Vanilla Bourbon County will hit our stores.Brooklyn Black OPS is an extremely limited production beer, and there is currently none in the pipeline. We aren’t even sure if any will make it to Chicago next year.
Since these bottles are numbered, how many bottles are there?
How much will this be selling for an will it be at the Orland Store? Whats the Alc.Vol
We aren’t 100% sure of the price yet. It will be at the Orland Park store, but not until after November 30th.
We wish we could answer that one for you StoutFest, but we are in the dark on the bottle count too.
Will this Bourbon County being from what I understand have a long shelf life so I can hang onto some meaning it wont go blaa overtime being that it is aged ?
Robert: You can age Bourbon County Stout for a very long time. If stored properly, it will easily improve with age over at least 5 years.
Any update on when the Vanilla BCS might hit the stores? For some reason I thought it was supposed to be this week.

actually, i was put on hold while they were checking to see when it was going to arrive to their store. and she told me the store was on a waiting list to receive it. i was on hold for 5 minutes before the line was dropped.
