Veel Geluk, which means ‘good luck’ in Dutch, is a mix of genever from Holland and raspberry liqueur. If you’ve ever had genever you are aware it can be tough to swallow on its own. When mixed with the raspberry liquor the sweetness balances out the bitterness of the gin. Bartender Angie created this cocktail and enjoys mixing it up for her husband. Give it a try at the Lincoln Park Tasting Room, or mix one up at home.

Certain beers are hard to get. Plain and simple. One of the most requested seasonal rarities we see here at Binny’s is Bells Hopslam. Demand for this Imperial IPA is so high that our supply tends to sell out just as soon as it arrives. Luckily, amidst a burgeoning craft beer scene there are several other excellent Imperial IPAs to choose from. We recently sat down and tried Hopslam next to other big juicy IPAs to see how they stacked up.
As of late, there is an immense interest for tiki-inspired drinks. Bartender Angie came up with one that’s sure to make you feel like your toes are inches deep in the sand. It’s quite literally called Tiki Drink, and is full of all the sunshine you’ll ever need. We know what you’re thinking… bring on the mini umbrellas! (Cabana boy not included.)
