Jarrett Payton Meet & Greet in Arlington Heights

It has been exciting to watch the growth of Jarrett Payton’s All-American Wheat Ale over the last few months. We were first able to offer the beer, brewed by Chicago’s Argus Brewery, at only a handful of Binny’s stores way back in March. Since then, supply has increased, and this delicious wheat ale with plenty of citrus is available at over half of the Binny’s locations, and is still spreading. Now Jarret Payton wants you to get a taste of his popular ale, so he’s personally coming to the Binny’s in Arlington Heights to shake hands and pour beer.

Jarrett Payton
All-American Wheat Ale
Tasting and Meet & Greet
Saturday, July  21, 1-3pm

Jarrett Payton is an all-around great guy and an asset to Chicago. He’s the son of the late Walter Payton, Bears running back and NFL Hall of Famer. You may have heard Jarret’s internet sports radio show, or on ESPN1000 on the Bears Post Game show. Maybe you saw him playing in the NFL or indoor football with Chicago Slaughter. Or maybe you caught one of his motivational speaking engagements or heard of his philanthropy work. Or talked to him on twitter (@paytonsun) or on a million other social media networks. He does a bunch of other stuff, too. He even records music. Just trust us, it’s great that he had time to create this delicious beer, and even better that he’s coming to Binny’s to share it! Don’t miss this chance.

Binny’s Lambic, Fruit, & Sour Beer Sale is Underway

Something that will pucker your palate? Oskar Blues Brewery Coming to Binny’s in Late August

Binny’s is excited to announce that Oskar Blues Brewery will be debuting at our stores the week of August 20th, along with a launch party at our South Loop tasting room.

Thanks to a new canning line and a dozen new fermenters, Illinois is poised to become the 26th state to feature the delicious beers of Oskar Blues Brewery from Colorado.

One thing that sets Oskar Blues apart from other breweries is that they use all cans and no bottles.  But inside many of the cans from Oskar Blues lie extreme beers usually not found in cans, like the titanic and vicious fall seasonal Ten Fidy, a 10.5% ABV Imperial Stout, and their spring seasonal Gubna, a 100 IBU imperial IPA.  For a full list of Oscar Blues beers including their everyday lineup, check out their website.

Perennial Artisan Ales Available Exclusively at Binny’s

One of the newest breweries to Binny’s is Perennial Artisan Ales, a small-batch brewery hailing from Saint Louis, Missouri. Recently, the Chicago Tribune declared Perennial Hommel Bier as their beer of the month for July. Spicy Belgian yeast meets citrusy and fruity Pacific Northwest American Hops in this hybrid brew. Refreshment comes from both ends of the beer spectrum in this balanced and flavorful offering. Perennial beers aren’t yet available at all Binny’s, so check with your local store. Bottles of Perennial beers are available exclusively at Binny’s in the Chicago area.

Other Perennial beers to try:
Black Walnut Dunkel Weisse – This brew is crisp, smooth, and malty with just a hint of walnuts. It is a flavorful dark beer that won’t fill you up.

Saison de Lis – This saison is brewed with some chamomile, and it shows, but never overpowers the subtle flavors of the hops and yeast in this Belgian-style hot weather quencher.

Perennial beers on the horizon:
Violet – A Belgian style tripel brewed with pluots, a hybrid cross between an apricot and plum.

Fantastic Voyage – A milk stout brewed with coconut, perfect for enjoying with dessert or even a cigar.
