Somehow it seems to perfectly harness everything we love about a good porter like flavors of chocolate and brown sugar, with hop aromas and flavors still balancing wonderfully due to the addition of Columbus, Amarillo, Simcoe, & Cascade hops. Despite what the name tells you, this beer will make you happy."

The nose on this beer gives absolutely no indications of this beers complexity. The appearance along with its huge roasted coffee, caramel and chocolate notes make you think stout all the way until the intensely bitter finish kicks in. Perhaps not as bitter as some of the other black IPA's on our shelves, but still a solid example of the still growing in popularity style.

"....Aroma is nice and spicy with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove in the nose....Taste starts out with a nice hint of nutmeg and fades into a bready aftertaste....Very nice and drinkable...."
